Tourist Visa
Passport holders from 40 countries are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the kingdom for a period of not exceeding 30 days on each visit. Foreigners who enter the Kingdom under the Tourist Visa Exemption category may re-enter and stay in the Thailand for a cumulative duration of stay of not exceeding 90 days within any 6 months period from the day of the 1st entry.
Foreigners entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption category must posses adequate finances for the duration of stay in Thailand ( 10,000 Thai Baht per person = 312 $ ), ( 20,000 Thai Baht per family = 625 $ )

Visa on Arrival
According to the Interior Ministerial Announcements, passport holders from 20 countries may apply for visas at the immigration checkpoints for the purpose of tourism for the period of not exceeding 15 days.
The applicant must possess means of living expenses at the amount of 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family accordingly.
The applicant must present full paid ticket which is usable within 15 days since the date of entry.

Non-Immigrant Visa “O-A”.
This type of visa may be issued to applicants aged 50 years and over who wish to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 1 year without the intention of working.
Employment of any kind is strictly prohibited.

- An alien who receives a Non-Immigrant visa can work
in Thailand once he or she is being granted a work permit.
An alien in violation of the Immigration Act B.E. 2522
(1979) concerning taking up employment without work
permit or the Royal Decree B.E. 2522 (1979) concerning
holding employment in certain restricted occupations
and professions shall be prosecuted and imprisoned or
fined, or shall face both penalties.
(3) Copies of company documents must be signed by the Board of Directors or authorised managing director and affix seal of company. (4) Documents in foreign languages
must be translated into Thai and should be notorised
by notary organs. |
